Good quality grapes are the most important prerequisite for producing quality wine. Arrange for organically grown grapes, which do not have chemicals sprayed on them. Grapes should be firm and fresh. Most modern wines are fermented at a relatively low temperature of 20 degree Celsius, which results in wine with a fruity character. Wines are usually made in large, cooled stainless steel containers. Some refineries use oak casks for fermenting their wines. When the fermenting wine has attained the required color intensity, the liquid is drawn from the vessel.
